Correct motor for refrigerators needing the software upgrade? The answer is yes. If you were told you need 

the motor that requires a software upgrade this is the motor that includes it internally and does not require any additional or separate software update. It also can withstand humidity much better then its predecessor. 

In comparison to the prior model that was used. It has gone up in weight by 4 ounces. This motor is being manufactured for General Electric by AVC of Taiwan and is being made in China

This Model Motor uses Hydraulic Ball Bearing Fan Motor Technology to operate smooth and quiet. Its technical Electrical Specifications (Specs) are dc 13.6V 0.17A

Common Reason for repair and change out would be that one compartment cold and the other is warm your evaporator coil may also be frozen with ice and air is not being able to be distributed throughout your refrigerator

Refrigerators Evaporator motors are part of your cooling and defrosting cycle system. The components involved in this system are your Evaporator motor, Evaporator Defrost Heater Element , Defrost Bimetal Thermostat or Temperature Sensors,

Defrost Timer or Main PCB Control Board work together with your defrost heater and your defrost bimetal thermostat . Installation shouldnt be to difficult or take to long. There are many helpful videos online to guide you through the process.

    Exact replacement, easy to change with a 1/4 inch nut driver, but way too pricey for a cheap plastic fan.

    Fridge wasn’t cooling and freezer was. Replaced the evaporator fan and it fixed my problem!
